Hi, I’m Valerie, an Acupuncturist and Naturopath specialising in Fertility.
I work at The Bristol Natural Health Service in Bristol. The clinic is on Gloucester Road in the BS7 area.
After I graduated from Bristol University with a Maths degree, I trained and worked as a Chartered Tax Advisor. Fed up with the long hours and stressful environment, I decided I wanted a change of career. I had been trying to conceive for a year, I had been told by my GP that our test results were all normal and that I should just plan a "big holiday" and then it would probably happen. It didn't. I decided to try acupuncture.
Acupuncture made me feel better in ways I hadn't expected. Side effects were more energy, better mood, a little weight loss and better digestion. After 9 months of acupuncture, I fell pregnant. I continued acupuncture throughout my pregnancy and felt well. I continued acupuncture after giving birth and when I was ready for a second child , fell pregnant straight away!
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy yoga, baking and going on adventures (near and far) with my husband and children.
I am a fully insured member of the British Acupuncture Council and the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners, having qualified as an Acupuncturist and Naturopath on a 4 year degree level course with the College of Naturopathic Medicine. I am also licensed by Bristol City Council to provide acupuncture from licensed premises within the city.
