Acupuncture and Fertility Support

Clinics on Gloucester Road, Bristol and in Iron Acton, South Gloucestershire. Serving Bristol, Iron Acton, Winterbourne, Chipping Sodbury and surrounding areas. See locations here.

There are many reasons for considering Acupuncture.  Some people prefer to take a holistic approach to their health, while others feel they have exhausted the help available from the NHS and are looking for alternative support.  Often, starting a course of acupuncture follows a period of feeling overwhelmed, distressed, exhausted or even anger at the lack of explanation for their symptoms.

One of the most valuable aspects of having acupuncture is the opportunity to talk about your symptoms, your whole health and your journey.  You become attuned to your body and understand when things you thought were normal are not.  This gives you awareness and insight into your body so you can treat it with the care it deserves.

I am a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncturist who is licensed to give acupuncture in Bristol and South Gloucestershire (see locations here).  I have additional qualifications in fertility and pregnancy acupuncture and actively take part in regular CPD to keep my knowledge up to date in both the western medicine options available and TCM techniques.  I have a number of contacts with Western Medicine Consultants who I will refer you to privately if I feel it would benefit you.

Who do I work with?
  • Men, women, individuals or couples (including lgbtq+ individuals and couples) who are trying to conceive - Please see my Fertility page.
  • Women who are pregnant.
  • Women with problems with their menstrual cycle whether that is pain, mood changes, irregular periods, short or long cycles.
  • Women who are suffering with peri-menopausal symptoms.
  • People suffering from pain.
  • People looking for help with mood, emotions, energy levels and general wellbeing.
If you fall into one of the categories above, then I want to work with you!

What I do:
  • I offer Acupuncture in Covid-Secure Clinics on Gloucester Road in Bristol and Iron Acton in South Gloucestershire.
  • I will work with you to understand your journey so far and point you in the direction of additional tests, if necessary, to help to explain why you are experiencing these symptoms.
  • Your course of acupuncture will target these problems with the aim of improving your symptoms as well as your general health and wellbeing.
  • If you choose to include naturopathic advice with your initial consultation, I will recommend changes to your diet and lifestyle, as well as nutritional supplements to support your journey.  For fertility and hormone health, this is included as it is vital for making good progress.
  • Sometimes I will refer you to a fertility herbalist alongside acupuncture.

Is this you?
  • You are serious about making a change to your health.
  • You would like to investigate your health or fertility with extra tests to understand what needs to be done to become pregnant or maintain a pregnancy.
  • You are willing to make dietary and lifestyle changes to enhance your health alongside acupuncture.

If this is you and you would like to get started, please contact me to book an appointment. Please note that I value my time with my clients so I only take on new cases when I have space to really help you.

It is really important to be aware that a course of Acupuncture is a gentle approach to help your body get back into balance.  I believe that every body wants to be in optimal health but stress, diet and lifestyle factors can impact this, causing aches, pains and hormones to fall out of balance.  It depends on your health and would be discussed with you as part of your initial consultation, but generally, a course of acupuncture begins weekly for the first 5-12 weeks.  Once we have seen positive changes in your symptoms, treatment frequency may be reduced.
